Duties to Include, but not limited to:
Nights, Weekend and Holiday Management of our four-diamond, silver-service dining room.
Hiring & Training senior staff, servers and bartenders
Implementing incentive programs, maintaining proper staffing for functions, evening and morning service, and events
Scheduling, by month, for dining room, bar, breakfast and events
Ordering and Inventory of dining room assemblage and products
Ordering and inventory of bar, wine and liquor
Purchasing of weekly wine and liquor stock
Establishing and maintaining a cohesive relationship between kitchen, dining room and guest services to ensure proper transfer of guest information for maximum client enjoyment.
Dining room manager is also responsible for dining room education of our staff of student interns. This program helps us to maintain the caliber and quality of the Inn by focusing on hospitality education in the dining room for students on placement. Students will report to the dining room manager for Breakfast shifts, Host shifts, lounge server shifts and expeditor shifts. DRM will be responsible for proper training and education of these students, with the assistance of the Innkeeper and Chef so as to make sure the students are able to flawlessly execute all jobs within the dining room.
Dining room Manager is also responsible for maintaining breakfast service. This entails teaching the intern staff to run the dining room for breakfast service, and ensure that there is management present during the high seasons and busy times to support the students.
Hours: Salaried up to 45hrs per week, can split shifts for breakfast and dinner when necessary.
Days: Weekends and Sunday evenings. Event and Function coverage when necessary. Days off usually successive midweek days.
